I can't hit worth a crap with my woods. I get better the higher i go. I'm worst with a 1 off the tee. I get a little bit better with a 3 wood. I'm better with a 3 wood off of the ground, not on tee. But there are times when I do like to hit a 3 wood off of a tee. And my 5 wood is best. With my 1, i hit the ball very far, but never accurate. I slice like crazy. With my three, I usually slice also. And with my 5, i don't have the slice effect. It's usually a straight shot. I get free driving range balls with my membership, so does anybody have any driving range drills that i can do to improve my fairway game with my woods?

ttt....somebody help me.

You slice the ball. No offense intended here, but you're asking probably the most common question in all of golf. Do a search on this forum and you'll get answers.

Sounds like you are new to golf. Great. Wonderful game, but takes time to learn. Best thing you (or anyone) can do is take some lessons. Without changing things, you will be slicing the ball a year from now. Repeating the same thing, over and over, and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. Get a local PGA pro to give you some lessons. Day one, your slice will be addressed. You need to be sure you are gripping the club properly. Too weak a grip all by itself could cause a slice. Read up on the grip and how a weak or strong grip affects your shots. Take some lessons. It will be the best money you ever spend. After your lesson, take advantage of the free range balls. But doing it the way I suggest, you will be hitting shots the correct way and learning the game. If you just go out and bash ball after ball, you are actually hurting your chance of playing golf well as you are training your body to do the wrong things over and over again.

    • Rory!!  What a great round.
    • Oh great, now that the door opened last year, he thinks he owns the place and waltz in for another jacket anytime he wants. Kids these days. Such entitlement. 😜
    • I agree; that would be great.  The record is 20 under;  if we only include Masters Tournaments contested in April, then the record is 18 under.  Seeing Rory beat 20 under would be fantastic.
    • Now I am hoping Rory breaks the all time scoring record, especially with how difficult the course is playing right now.
    • A few thoughts on the past few minutes. I agree that fairways are overrated, but Rory might want to reconsider that view in the short term. For the second time today, Bryson is hitting two shots in a row from the same greenside bunker.   Xander had a similar issue on 12 earlier today, although I think that only happened to him once today.  My mother and I are sitting in my living room commiserating.    Poor Patrick Reed, only bogey of the day on #18.  Shane Lowry had a clean scorecard with 15 pars and 3 birdies.
