Welcome- I'm grew up in Fairfax and lived in Arlington after college until 2 years ago when I moved to Nashville -

I think I'll end up back in that area in 5 years or so -

Hey Tyler...I'm in Martinsburg WV. Not too far away and I used to be closer (lived in Front Royal for a few years).
Great golf courses around this area, for sure. If you get out toward the Shenandoah Valley, check out Blue Ridge Shadows. It's very new, but really nice.
Raspberry Falls in Leesburg is an awesome Gary Player design that is closer to where you're at too...

      Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.

      Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.

      Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.

      Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣

      Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
