Hello to all. Looks like a great forum you've got here.

I’m just getting back into golf seriously after about 12 years of only playing 1-2 rounds per year. I was a decent player in high school, but those days are long gone. LOL My game is very inconsistent at the moment. I can string 6-8 good shots together and make 2-3 pars in a row or even 2 pars and a birdie. BUT, then comes the dreaded 3-4 hole stretch where I can do no right and double and triple every hole. This game is so damn frustrating! I would say the strength of my game is chipping and putting. I did shoot 39 (par 33) two weeks ago on my last 9 of 27 holes I played that day. My goal is to be playing bogey golf by the end of the year. I'm close. If I can only clear those dreaded 7's and 8's off my card.

I can feel your pain also....sometimes if seems when the wheels fall off....I cannot locate them!!!!!!

Erlanger, Kentucky is not far from me. I was just over in Florence yesterday.

What courses do you play over there in the Bluegrass?

this sounds familiar. i used to play inthe mid 80s during my highschool years when i would play with my father all the time. My father started me on golf when i was 9 years old. after 10 years of not touching the clubs i'm back in it. i bought maxfli clubs, to begin my journey back into the black abyss, last year. $250 for the whole iron set. i thought was good deal and could help me get back into the game. my scores are nowhere near it used to be. Now, i play in the 100s constantly. i can get 2~3 pars in a row.. then comes 3~4 triples. So i've decided that since i cannot compete with my skills, i need better technology. i just bought a set of Mizuno MX-950. I hope they will help me improve my score.

I have been wanting to come down and play Grand Victoria and also Belle Terra, and was wondering how are they to play? I know most of thier business is the casino but are the course's any good? I was hoping to make a weekend trip and play each over a weekend. What are the weekend rates if I may ask? Thanks

Thomas " Hitman" Heitman

Grand Victoria is my favorite course around here, its a true links style course and its in great shape! Belterra is an amazing course also, very challenging layout as well! Grand Victoria is 53 during the week and Belterra is 95 during the week and 115 on the weekends. Both are well taken care of and are definatly a joy to play! You will not be disappointed
