Ok So I went to a demo day a couple days ago...

Went Hit every blade they had, I hit every thing great (rare) But I was just on point. Just amazing.

Went to play golf later that day, I couldn't hit my irons to save a beached porpoise's life. I'm mean I probably shot a high 50 low 60 (i stopped keeping score) I figured it was just from swinging to much that day.

So last night I go out, and I shoot a 50. I was driving dead center and long avg'ing 270 yards off the tee on 7 fairways, but wait! I couldnt hit a damn iron shot! My wedges were working good.

Moral of the story is now that I have hit "real clubs" I cant hit mine for crap.

WTF is going on? Mental? or do i just need to buy new clubs :)

Sounds like you need some new Irons!

No, but seriously, just hit up the range and I think you'll be fine...

Just splooge and buy 'em bro. You already said you hit the new ones great eh? Help out the economy and treat yourself to some sexy blades.

But really, its probably a mental thing. If you go up to your iron shots and go "Ballz, I gotta hit this shot, I don't wanna blow this great drive I just hit...." your confidence drops.

I wouldn't buy the new ones just because you are hitting those bad right now...chances are whatever you are doing now would happen with the new ones as well. Just take some half swings until you get your feeling back and then progress upwards.

Yeah, I know I need to buy new clubs, but I have to sell my motorcycle first :(

It's so stupid too, the corse i played on last night is what I would consider a old mans corse, wide open, flat, I should dominate that corse, and every time I play there I suck!

Probably mental. But, I've had some bad iron days (believe me, probably worst part of my game) but if I hit the ball that well with my driver there's no way I would shoot a 50. I don't understand how you could possibly shoot worse than bogey golf. Even if you did hit your irons bad.

im saying mental,i sold my old blades and while waiting for new ones to come in i had to play my dunlop cavaties and never hit one good shot in the three rounds i had tp play with them then i got my new blades and all went back to normal,so im guessing its all mental man.

Because Bad doesnt quite explain it, For instance.

I hit off the tee par 5, 525 yards. Good drive with the down hill roll i was probably hit it 320ish, so roughly 200 yards to go. I take my 4 iron, thinking a nice fade away from the bunker to the left would be great. I swing the ball goes off raping snakes 40 yards (now I didnt feel like I made a bad swing) so now Ive got 150-160 to go pull out my 7 thinking Ill just take a nice easy swing and plop it up on or very near the green. NOPE I sail the facking green by 25-30 yards. Hmm funny, then I take my 60 out in some ok rough, open the club face up a bit and try and hit a nice soft landing flop. NOPE I pick up my head and chunk the crap out of the ball right. etc. thats pretty much how every hole was. Except the par 3's I par'd both. I hate my self and this god forsaken game. Well On the brighter side, I think I have a buyer for my motorcycle so some nice shiny Mp52's and 62's are going to be coming to me very soon! *crosses fingers*
