I shot my best round of the year today, 1 over par and I only hit 6 greens in regulation. I hit three greens on the front, 11 puts with 2 birdies, chiped one in. I had a double on the back. Out of the 6 greens I hit, 5 of them were from 180yds plus. I was coming over the top with my short irons and just couldn't stop. But I was lipping out chips from 15 to 30yds away all day. I was really feeling confident with my sand wedge, pitching wedge, and 8 iron. I had a few long putts and lagged well, and made everything else in 10 ft.

Definatly a strange round that the guys will be talking about for a while.

When your short game is on its a great feeling, too bad mine has been lost for about almost a year. Keep up the good work and don't lose it~

I love chipping in! Such a great feeling leaving the putter in the bag. Just standing there quietly as everyone else tries to save par. I've had a few at pivotal times lately.

It must have been rewarding to score well when you are not playing that well.
Working mans score when you have to get up and down to save par.

I played 6 holes yesterday, 5 pars and 1 bogie, had a total of 7 putts and 1 GIR, 2 chips lipping the hole. My short game was very good. A great feeling to save par with those shots.

That's great! I actually had my best 9 holes ever recently hitting par the same way you did, short game. Not a great round but made gravy out of lemons and ended up being my best score. Congrats!
