I am trying to determine the wedge required to fill the gap between my PW and my SW. I have decided on the Nike SV Tour, so I dont need to get into a brand debate, but rather the gap in loft between the clubs.

I currently have my Hogan Apex Edge PW that is 46* loft and a Nike 56* and 60*. I like the way the Nike's feel and want to get the matching gap wedge but am having a hard time deciing on 50* or 52*. Either way I end up a little off on equalling the caps.

Suggestions?

John

Split the difference and get the 52 and have it bent to make a 51.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

You could bend one of them to 51*

Eh, having the same degrees of loft separation doesn't necessarily equal an exact yardage gap. What are the current full swing yardages you hit those 3 clubs? Find the middle of the gap between the PW and SW, and match that yardage to a wedge. I'd guess you'd be best off with a 51 or 52* gap wedge. I'd buy the 52 and try it, and if you feel like you need to strengthen it, you can bend it by a degree or maybe 2. If you buy a 50* and end up needing to weaken it, you'll be creating too much bounce for your gap wedge, and although you can have it ground down to reduce the bounce, you don't wanna do that to your pretty new wedge do you?

Thanks. Ended up getting the 52* and having it bent to 51*. Took it out to the range and it should work out fine.

hit a 3/4 pw,my gap is same 48 pw 56,60 its never hindered me to much enough to justify 100+ dollars for a club really dont need
