Lefty's hitting too many loose shots to win. The golf ball will look bigger than the hole for Barnes when he putts. Glover's face will start start turning purplr because lack of oxygen. Duval will finally make some putts and fire a 67 and become one of the best comeback stories ever!

276 (-4) will do it. For the heck of it, I'll call a three-way tie between Mickelson, Glover, and Tiger Woods (who honestly could've shot 65 the last two days had his putting been worth a damn). Then Glover wins the playoff.

Sure Phil's game today was a rollercoaster, but don't forget what he put up on the front 9 at Augusta.

Barnes lost it today. You could see it happen when he put his tee shot in the sand, had confusion with his provisional, and then put #2 in the weeds.

Still haven't got Glover figured out. We didn't hear much about him between Tiger, Phil, and Barnes's hat.

I think it's between those 3 though, right now. -7.

Ben Hogan is my swing coach.

Ricky Barnes is very, very fortunate. He hadn't hit a solid shot on the first two holes he played thus far in the 4th round. Now that play has suspended he has time to re-group. He doesn't have to sit around all day like most final pairings would since he he goes right out onto the course at 9 A.M. already knowing the shot he faces.

I think the winning score is -4. I feel as though Barnes will play his way into a playoff, but just barely. I say he shoots a 74 to get into the playoff with Glover, and Mickelson.

Glover wins in the playoff on Tuesday.

As much as I want to see Duval get back into it, I just don't think he will. He shoots a 72 in the fourth and final round.

Are they going to cut the greens in the morning? Is it gonna rain over night. If it doesn't rain and they cut the greens I think things will speed up and score it'll be between -6 and -7. I would really like to see some of Tiger's putts go in. I think Duval would be an awesome winner. What a turn around. I was just asking someone about him last week.

No, I think the pins and green speed will stay the same (unless it drys out, my point is they won't cut them I do not believe since the 4th round has already begun.) And no, it's not forecasted to rain overnight, so we should be good there. Possible showers staring around 3 P.M., but only 40% chances and nothing major. Should get all play in tomorrow, thankfully.

golf channel just made a good point ... I think if tiger can post 4 under... maybe even 5 under some how on his last 11 holes about an hour before glover/barnes finish ... that's going to be a tough pill to swollow for them. Going to be hard to look at the leader board as glover and barnes and see number 1 and number 2 sitting right there waiting for you to stumble into a playoff.

    • Day 22 - 2026-01-11 More mirror work. Back outdoors tomorrow.
    • Day 11, 1/11/26.  Today was putting, along about 6' of carpet, with coins on the ground to keep me cognizant of what I'm doing.  I think this is the at-home drill from LSW. (Ugh, missed two of the last four days -- 1/10 and 1/8)
    • Day 9: 2026.01.11 Hit some balls at the range, concentrating on weight distribution at address, got some on film.
    • Day 468 - 2026-01-11 Loooooong day. Did some work in the patio door (as a mirror) when I got home.
    • I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
