I want to ask about a specific ebay seller

Maybe it's just in my head, but the ones that I hit at the store had a softer grip that I really liked. The ones I got with my clubs are firmer grips (maybe that's because they're new and once they get worn in a little, they soften up).

In any case, I just got back from the range in using them. Here is my verdict...

When you hit it right, man do they feel good. slight mishits and they're still not bad, but off hits make you feel it. I have been screwing around with my swing recently (trying to get rid of the outside in swing that I've taught myself to do). Combine that, the fact that I was hitting off of a mat, and the fact that the grip is firmer than I like and now I have semi blister on my right palm. The vibration from my mishits just killed me. Towards the end of the large bucket, I started getting more consistent shots and really enjoyed them, although the pain from the blister still made my hand hurt.

I am going to go tomorrrow morning before work and hitting a medium bucket. I am hoping I can get a consistent swing back. I'm also planning on taking lessons very soon to help with bettering my swing.

All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase and will be even more happy as soon as I get my swing back.

Des - Are your grips the same as the ones at the website link I posted?

One other thing I forgot to mention is that it seemed as though that I wasn't getting as much distance out of these clubs as I get with my old TM RAC OS irons. I know TM typically has 1* more loft which helps in the distance.

I'd assume what came on it are GP Tour Velvets, stamed with Callaway logos, like many manufaturers put on new clubs.

The research I did points to the Lamkin Crossline grips with the Callaway stamp.
