Ok, now I'm reading Jim Hardy's "The Plane Truth for Golfers".

Sounds like with a few adjustments I gots me a one plane swing from this experiment.

While gluing the elbow to my side helped force me to be in the proper more open impact position, it's not correct. It should point "out and away" from my body or behind me.

Steve Flesch:

Been playing just a few months but I play almost every day.

What's in my bag: Distance Master Driver, Maltby Trouble Out woods/hybrids, Maltby KE4 Irons (all assembled by me so I can never blame my equipment).

In my opinion a baseball swing and a golf swing are not alike.

In baseball you hit the ball out in front of your front foot (for the most part depending on the location of the pitch) and in a golf swing the ball is almost always behind your front foot.

To make square contact with the golf ball a baseball player like me would say you need to have a very long, sweeping swing compared to a short, compact baseball swing which is the equivalent to chopping a tree down.

Also you roll over wrists or "release" the golf club much earlier than a baseball swing.
