I have heard great things about these irons and am looking into getting a set. Which irons in this line are more forgiving than the others? Also, please tell me if you know a place with good prices on these irons, new or used( im not looking to spend a fortune).

there are SOOOOO many Mizuno iron threads on this site. I would just do a search and have fun reading them all. there is a HUGE Mizuno following on this site

I love Mizuno irons, specifically the MP lines. Of the new(er) models, this is about the order (most forgiving first):

MP-52
MP-57
MP-62
MP-67

If you are looking for great deals on these you'll just about have to go used since they do not get discounted a lot just because it's an older model. You can also look for the MP-60's (which I have). they are very similar to the MP-57's, although slightly less forgiving (I can't tell much difference). I got mine for less than $200 used in great shape. You could also look at the MX-23/25, which are not MP's obviously, and are more forgiving, but are not that much more of a game improvement iron than the MP-52/57's. The short irons in these models are more blade like than most game improvement iron sets.

you can check out the different model at the local golf store and usually they also keep the older models in their used club bins.

I bought my set on ebay about 3-4 years ago. have the golf professional assist you with any devises they have to help you see what clubs fits your game and future improvement like the launch monitor.

I have played the Comp Ez, Mp 30 and currently the mp33 and improved my game each time I switched to game improvement clubs.

before you go to the store you can do some research on different web site, Mizuno USA, ebay, club review. below is an example of a video comparing the mp52 and the mp67

MP52s are probably the most forgiving in the MP line. You might also check out the MX200s. They are more forgiving than the MPs and they're also forged like the MPs.

The Putterman is a seller on eBay and sells a 4-PW set of MP-52's for $440+shipping. The clubs are said to be hit "once" so pretty much new. These sets have R300 shafts in them.

I would kill a man if he tried to take mine. :)

No their great, even their "Game Improvment" Irons are really nice crisp feeling. MX200 I hit when I though about getting a mixed set, I though with a cavity that large they would feel really dead but not so much.

i have the MP 60 and I love it. It took a while to get used to them, not the most forgiving clubs, but definitely you can do a lot with it. The MP 32 is also very good and price is very reasonable.

I enjoy my mp 58's, but if you are a high handicapper you will enjoy the jpx-800's.

They are great clubs - more forgiving.

If you get some fantastic club that has a tiny sweetspot, you will be frustrated with the results.

At any rate, you are well-served to go to a big box store and hit them all.

Pay special attention to the shafts as that affects the ball flight and feel of the club in a big way.

I would look for a set of mx-25s if I were you..or the MX200, whichever look you prefer. MX-20's and 23s are pretty much identical clubs.  I swing the 20's cuz I got a hardly used set for 75 dollars.  BTW, buying used iron sets is no big deal at all because the wear is not gonna be that big of a deal.  As long as they aren't beaten to death and aren't fake, you'll be just fine.

MP-52s or MP-32s would be really nice clubs but if you are worried about a club being difficult to hit well you might want to consider something forged in the MX line (MX-25, MX-200, MX-300) or a set of JPX-800 Pros.

One thing to keep in mind with any MP iron though is that you need to have a pretty good swing.  MPs have smaller heads, thin soles and not as much of a cavity or perimiter weighting as a traditional GI iron.

I used to have a set of MP-32s that I absolutely loved but I had to really work on my swing in order to play well with them.  They didnt have much of a cavity back, so you had to hit the ball pretty flush every time.  Theres times that I think about buying a used set of MP-32s off of Ebay but then I remind myself that playing good golf is more important than having a set of pretty clubs in my bag.

Pretty sure the OP doesn't need any more advice on the MP irons.
