So I went over to my local Dick's after talking to their PGA guy there yesterday. Since Last time I was on a launch monitor I've made a lot of what I would call improvments in my swing. But I found that in my swing changes I have lost 10-15 MPH on my club head spead, no problem because my game and my distances really havent changed.

So I'm on the launch Monitor which is about an 1" below my feet, no big deal. I adjust in a very uncomfertable way. Needless to say I'm not hitting quality shots, I also had to stand about 2-3" farther back because of the gap between the "standing" pad and the monitor. So I finally dial it in and hitting ok shots. So it says I'm hitting everything left... BULLSHIT I never hit left... EVER (with irons) So what ever it has my club head angle all that jazz.

He puts the angle board (what ever its called) Im hitting every thing dead center on my club, making perfect swings (because I'm not contorting my body to conform to their equitment) So my lie is correct.

So I tottaly forget to have him adjust my damn wedges a 1* stronger because we were BS'ing. But he said the shafts I have were really good for my swing, so that made me happy, I may go to another place for adjesting my wedges to fill the gap.

Club head speed on my driver is down to 99mph avg, but I was taking pretty modest swings, nothing like I do at the range or course.

He did say my swing was really good, but my wrists were inconsitant. How do i fix my wrists? I dont think I bend my left wrist at all, but hey its usually behind me. HELP WITH THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

*cliffs* Got fitted, but nothing changed. Oh and I think those launch monitors are bogus. (pff I never hit left pff!)

Yeah I know a guy who works at Dick's in their golf section and he says their launch monitor and fitting section is absolutely terrible.

If the Dick's near you is anything like the two here, I'd recommend never getting fitted by them or thinking too much into the results of their "launch monitor."

Nor would I ever consider taking clubs to Dicks to get them bent or otherwise worked on.

When I was trying out irons last week the monitor at golftown had every shot of mine going wayyyy to the right. Got the ones I wanted, go to the range/course and i'm hitting dead straight :) I just based my choice on what felt better to me between the different irons I tried.

Agree. Really the only thing I ever consider buying from Dick's is balls.

There is a joke in this somewhere......

It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

I lol'd. The fact that you have never hit left is quite surprising. Never?

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

I'm convinced simulators, monitors, demo greens, and the like are all rigged a bit to give you confidence.

10 putts in the jar in a row? YEAH! Totally buyin' that scotty!
Oh, these MP67's fix my slice and give me the draw I want? YES! In the cart!
335 in the fairway? Tour Burner? HELL YES!

That's just me, though.

It's plausible that you might have been pulling the shots since the ball was below your feet. That's common for many people.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to find a better place, theres a couple around here. I want to have my clubs adjusted for more than anything yardage gaps. So mostly my wedges, probably a degree stronger. PW is 47* then i go to my 52*, I dont know that is would be bennificial to me. But thats what I'd like to find out.
