That's why they have the option for provisionals. Do we really need to have this conversation again?

I am one of those guys that does think this rule should be changed. Hitting provisionals takes time, and I have lost allot of tee shots that looked 'safe' when they were hit, ony to not find that as they took an od bounce or what ever. Unless I am in a tournament I don't go back to the tee and instead take a the drop and a penalty. Even for our money games we play this rule.

Goodness yes. It's so embarrassing to watch your ball land just off the fairway in a perfectly reasonable location but be unable to find it. It happens often enough to be reasonably frustrating.

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
