Wow!! All I can say, Im soooo damn excited!

I went out to my local executive course after work, its a par 62, playing about 3500 yards. nothing too crazy, about 5 or 6 par 4's but accuracy is pretty important here.

Anyways, I played 18 and shot a 76... Hit 0 greens in reg on the front. My usual is somewhere in the 80's. But I parred the last 2 holes and something just felt right. Since it was twilight, I figured I'll replay most of the course to see if Im onto something.

Well, I played 12 holes and finished +2!! 2 over par! I did take one mulligan though.... I have never in my life dreamed I would do that! Something just clicked with my irons! And short game, and putter!!

I started going straight back with my irons, and keeping the face aligned at the top.... I dunno, I cant explain it, but something definitely clicked today! I just hope it stays with me now!

All that putting practice and short game practice is paying off!

Just thought I would tell someone considering I'm stuck to playing alone......

Thanks a lot for all your insight everyone! I now know what it feels like to play some amazing golf! I hit like 10 out of 12 greens in reg on my second round, even putted in a 12 footer for bird, and missed 3 other birds by inches.

What an amazing feeling!

Jim

Feels good to get through a great round eh? I set a personal best today as well. A local course, 68.5/117 from the blues, 5,418 yards. I went 41/40 for an 81. Only hit 2 fairways and 6 GIR's, but finished the round with 30 putts.

Congrats on your round, it's a good feeling when the golf gods smile upon you.

what course? I live in Tampa too

Countryway golf club, off of waters ave. Small course, but I love it for short game work.

Is there any kind of league or club down here where you can play golf with other people in the area? I work kind of in a secluded environment, and dont really know anyone that I can play golf with except my old man, but he's out of town a lot. Have you played Countryway before? Great after work course. Jim

Thanks a lot! Jim
