Got an old anser 2 I am knocking everything down with....just wondering what the best headcover would be for this? I can't seem to find any around.

Its 80s-90s and sort of beat already so maybe it's not even worth a cover.

I have a Ping G2 cover on my Anser 2, and it falls off constantly. Looks good and offers OK protection, but it's a pain. I wouldn't recommend.

Ping putter covers are magnetic (at least the two I have) which prevents them from falling off.

Plenty of generic covers available at your local Golfsmith, Edwin Watts, or similar retailer.

Failing that, here's a link that I've found useful in the past.......

The Ping Neoprene cover at the bottom of the above ebay link is the one I use. It is simple and cheap and works great.

I have a Ping Pal 4 I bought brand new many many years ago that never came with a head cover. I decided I wanted one a while ago and emailed Ping about getting one. They sent me one free of charge and it's awesome. Great fit, magnetic which is really cool because I just set it on the sole of one of my irons while I'm on the green and there it stays....like magic!

Anyway, it's a nice headcover but I think it says a lot about Pings customer service too, those guys rock and with a small gesture like that have earned my continued business.

Shops around here sell headcovers that people trade in or the extras that they end up with for $5 or so. Name brand, drivers, woods, hybrids, putters, you name it. One place that sells them for $4 has scotty covers in tub of putter covers.

    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
