I will start of by saying that I am very inconsistent with my swing (results), and have been working on my posture and setup to build a consistent swing. Nothing new to most, a lot of good shots and a lot of bad shots, but never consistent contact throughout a round.

During my round on Saturday it struck me that a possible reason for the inconsistency in my swing was the way I was bending at address (basically bending a little with longer clubs and a lot with shorter clubs, but I don't think my spine angle was ever the same).

I started to keep my spine angle the same with all of my clubs, instead of bending based on the club, I used more/less knee bend, which either lowered/raised the height of my stance with each club, but kept my spine angle the same.

The results were very positive and contact was very good, I felt the same swing (feeling) with different clubs, and was even able to draw my 5 wood and rescue club when I wanted to (closing head) because I was confident of my swing path.

So my question, is this the correct posture to work on, keeping the spine angle the same and change the bend in my knees, or should the bend in the knees be the same and the angle of the spine change?

Thanks for any comments.

Okay, will try this again...

What is correct, or does it matter:

Keeping the spine angle the same and change the bend in the knees, or should the bend in the knees be the same and the angle of the spine change?
