anyone know about how to go getting a shaft for the new R9?

currently have the Fubuki that comes stock with the TP version, but im not too crazy about it.

question is can i go with a normal shaft and get the threading done for the adjustable head? or is that a "go through taylormade" thing?

I'd guess your local shop has to order it for you, from TM, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Maybe ebay will have some that already have the fitting?

Mitsubishi Fubuki (63g & 73g) --> "Mid-low bend point, stable shaft. Mid to high flight with lowish spin quality."
Fujikura Motore F1 (65g, 75g, 85g) --> "Designed for stronger players, generally with a mid-bendpoint and stable tip section. Mid ball glight, lwoish spin quality. NOTE: the 75g version flies higher than the 65g and 85g versions!."
Aldila Voodoo VS6 --> "Stable shaft, mid-high bend bend point. Medium to low ball flight with lowish spin, but a little more spin than Motore 65g."
Aldila Voodoo NV6 --> "Stable, mid-high bend point. Medium to low ball flight with lower spin."
Matrix HD-6 --> Stiffer tip, medium-high bend point. NOT a medium high flight, as TaylorMade says. Low spin, mid-low launch similar to VS-6 or NV-6 but lower spin overall."

"All TP shafts have a no upcharge, EXCEPT HD-6 ($150-$200)".
