PiKapp, count me crazy but if you're scoring that ridic high for 9 holes...how the eff is your HI 10.4?...is that per 9?...

He did it once, did you look at the other scores he posted?

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

The more I play, the less frequently I seem to lose my swing. Usually when I lose my swing, it is the basics that I somehow forgot or not paid close enough attention. Most of the time it is my alignment that goes slightly skewed but still looks normal to me for some reason. I have to consciously check and double check the basics to get out of the slump.

When I graduated high school, I was just over a 3. I took some time off when I bought my first house when I was 19 (had no money to play golf). I started back up when I was about 22 on occasion, and got back into it full swing for the last three years or so. I still can't get down past a 6. And now, I am up to a 7.4. Maybe I should actually practice, instead of just playing once a week. I'll go for a week, playing twice, hitting the range twice....and putting a lot, to the next week not even playing or practicing. I think I need a bit of consistency.

Yep. I've been playing crappy all year. Finally decided I can't fix it myself and signed-up for lessons.

I think Harvey Penick said something to the effect of ... if you play a bad round, shake it off. If you play 2 or 3 bad rounds, go see a pro.

I lost my game on #10 tee for 18 holes last weekend! City tourney, I shot 40 on the front, 48 on the back. 48 on the front on Sunday and 40 on the back.......strange days indeed.
I've spent most of my life golfing - the rest I've just wasted.

If you do not play you loose something, whether its the grip strength of your left hand or some muscle memory. I have not played golf for a week, did not touch a club and I am going out to practice with my PW hitting easy 1/2, 3/4 and finally full shots and work on my take away and make sure I have solid contact and then work on my direction.

It's happened to me in the middle of a round. Three weeks ago I was -2 through 7, finished the next 11 +12, and it happened in the middle of a tourny. Or you could just call it choking...

Ugh! I think I am in the process of losing it by the way I hit this weekend. Started out great, par, birdie...and then all hell broke lose and end it up with 91!

I need to get back on the saddle--and soon!

this says alot...

alot of pros practice like its their full time job... and in reality... it is... they spend 8 hrs or more daily at the course... the range... the practice green... they dont just show up at tournaments and play... shoot low scores... collect their prize money then go out an party till its time for another tourney... well unless youre daley... as we mere mortals cant dedicate that much time into it as a pro... you still have to keep your game sharp... not picking up your clubs for 3 weeks for some ppl can really hurt your scores... others might need a break and would actually do some ppl good... last weekend i felt like i lost my game... shooting scores in the high 80's and low 90's... duffing shots but i knew something different would happen when i started tweaking my swing in the middle of the season trying to gain 10 lousy yards of distance... you just gotta get back into the rhythm of the game... i surprised myself today and i hope its an indication of things to come if i keep working at it... but i have to keep working at it cuz it disappears when the season is over
