I am not having much luck this month with broken clubs. Earlier this month I broke my driver, and not I have broken my 3 wood shaft.

The story on how I broke it though, is kind of funny. I was using it as an alignment aid at the range when out of nowhere my buddy startled me and caused me to hit the ball on the toe, which sent it like a rocket into my 3 wood (that was positioned between my feet and the ball) and it hit the shaft right on the grip and snapped the shaft. So now I am without a driver AND a 3 wood. I had a spare driver, and I didn't use the 3 wood much, and when I did it wasn't very consistent. I could pull the shaft and slide a new shaft in, but at the cost of a new pro launch blue, I could buy a different used 3 wood on ebay.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

How could a ball hit off the toe, hit a shaft that was between your feet and the balls original position? And hit it hard enough to snap it?

on two accounts

#1 - the pain #2 - the embarressment of having to go to the ER / wife to try to explain how I hurt myself.
