Well after a long analysis at the golf store. I came home with a new Callaway FT-IQ driver. I had really been wanting a 909 D3 but I just hit the Callaway so much better. I ended up going with it and I am quite pleased with its performance after going to the range and blasting it loooong. Another nice thing I thought about getting the Callaway was they threw in a FT-I 3 wood. Also the Callaway rep was at the store while I was buying the club and threw in a dozen tour ix balls which was pretty cool. Overall I feel like the upgrade from my old steelhead 3 driver is a great upgrade. Also I really like the stock shaft on the FT-IQ.

Wow. That's a pretty amazing deal. I tried out the IQ when I was looking for a new driver and I hit it very well but I decided on the Burner mainly because of price.

Ya I felt like it was a great deal it was marked at 399 down from 499 and the 3 wood if you bought it alone was marked at something silly like 399 also. But they could just mark the 3 wood that high to make you feel like your really getting a steal I dont know. The main thing was how good and accurate I was hitting the IQ. I guess I had to let go of the wanting to use Titleist so bad. I am not quite at the level of player that Titleist clubs are made for I dont think. Fairway finder is what the guys where calling the IQ and that sounds good to me.

FT-iQ is actually one of the only, if not the only, square driver I actually liked when I hit it.

Each year at my local course/range they have a Callaway Demo Day at the end of June.

Last year, I had hit the FT-i. I was fairly impressed, but it wasn't something I'd ever consider buying.

This year, I hit the FT-iQ. Huge, huge difference compared to last years feeling. Felt much more solid and I was launching it on the Range. It was the first square driver that I ever felt I could potentially consider putting in my bag...

Sounds like you got a pretty awesome deal with the 3 wood and dozen golf balls...have fun with it.

And remember not to swing too hard, lol, I know this sounds stupid and random but when I first got my driver I tried swinging as hard as I could thinking I'd hit it way further - well, it went further...further out of bounds!

I liked the FT-iQ but it's sound was like the TaylorMade R series, and I didn't like that.

what i want to know is: how can anybody justify spending that much money on a single club? i understand, its your money, do what you want with it. but my whole bag, with everything, cost less than that. hell, i don't think i've ever even bought a new club. *steps off soap box* well, good luck!

well I got a gift card for my birthday for 250 dollars, so it really didnt cost me to much more. I also dont spend a whole lot of money on myself usually and I decided to spend a little this time on something that will help me stay active and enjoy golf even more. The Golf Stop is the name of the place I bought the club in Kansas City.

Well it was on two clubs and a box of balls so I guess it justifies it somewhat. $250 for a driver and $150 for a fairway wood doesn't seem too outrageous.

Did it come with the white Fubuki shaft? Club definitely looks funky but if you hit it straight and long, it's definitely a sweet deal.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is about spending money on clubs. He's stimulating the economy first of all, and golf is not a cheap sport. With my used irons, old woods -purchased new, new driver, putter, and wedges I have probably close to $1,800 worth of clubs in my bag. So what?

Ya I really dont feel like I spent that much but I guess its all relative. I am VERY pleased with this driver. Forget the 909 guys go for the FT-IQ its long and forgiving all you want in a driver.
