After her performance this at The Solheim, it would not be a surprise to see her collect a win shortly. Most importantly, I think she proved to herself she can stand up with and against the best players out there.

Yeah, oddly the LPGA still has something like 8 to 10 events or so after their team cup competition.

But is she heading back to Stanford soon or what? I don't know how many she's gonna play.

I vote, "hell no". She hasnt yet proven that she can handle the pressure of getting the job done in major tournaments.

How about now? She was the best player on this years team!

Damn, I'm good sometimes!

I'm just popping out to buy a lottery ticket...

The Solheim Cup is in my mind the biggest event Michelle has played in since she decided to buckle down and pursue an LPGA career.

Do she prove she is a superstar this weekend?

Have to admit, I had not looked a great deal at Wie's swing prior to this past Solheim Cup. I vaguely remember some longish, guided type swings in the past where she clearly was not just letting it go. Not so this time. Wow, she has a very solid swing and her dynamics are better than many of the other lady pros who appear to me to have little strange moves here and there in their swings, and don't always stay behind the ball well. Wie had great balance and was finishing around with her arms in ideal position, not that careful, long decelerating swing some of the ladies use. That is only my opinion, and I would not say such a thing if I were not guilty of making similar type bad swing trying to guide the ball.

She also putted well, did others notice a lot of her misses were tap-ins? She was close to making a lot of putts. The only thing I did not really like was the immature grimacing to call attention to one's self when a putt missed. But she is still very young, and golf is changing to more of a "show your emotions openly" type sport. I'm still a more toned down type of golfer, and don't have a patented end-zone dance when a putt goes in (C.F: NFL, World Wrestling Federation, etc.) Wie is not at the Kim-level of emotion.

Anyone can have a period of good play but if she swings like she was swinging at the big event, there is not a lot that would keep her out of the limelight going forward. She sure seemed to have all the tools.

She was pretty awesome and I'm happy for her. Hopefully this is the beginning to a great career. Insanely talented.

Michelle Wie is not a good choice. When the going gets tough, she chokes.

How does that crow taste???

Pretty clear to me that she had more talent than anyone else on the golf course last week. She was impressive, young but impressive.

If her mental game ever gets as good as her physical talents, Wie will be unstoppable in the womans game, IMO. I say wait 5 or so years and then see what she has got.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
