They have it at Dicks. You can also use soapy water to make the double sided tape slick enough to slide the grip on.

Or mineral spirits...

Solvent also available at Golfsmith, Golf Galaxy, or any other golf shop.

I second mineral spirits; it’s less expensive than that which would be marketed as “grip solvent,” and it’s available at most (if not all) hardware stores.

The grip solvent sold commercially at GolfSmith, Dicks or Golf Galaxy is nothing more than hardware-store available, low-odor mineral spirits. Low-odor mineral spirits is a mild solvent, which evaporates slowly and gives you ample time to install the grip. It is not for use with water-based double-sided gripping tape. I would never use lighter fluid or gasoline! They can be extremely dangerous and will also eat away the rubber of certain grips. Stick with the mineral spirits and traditional grip tape and you can't go wrong. As with any solvent, never wad up any rags and throw them in a garage corner or trash can. Let them air dry to evaporate the solvent first so you don't run the risk of spontaneous combustion from heat build-up.
