Need advice on Golf Bag

I used to carry something we called a Sunday bag. It was canvas, one pouch and a strap. The opening was about 5". Lightweight.

What type of "cheaper" ($100 or less) golf bag would you buy? I like the bags with individual slots for each club but it seems all those are $140+. The bags with the large compartments where I presume several clubs go in per each slot, how would you stop the clubs from getting all banged up from bag chatter?

If you have access to Costco, they sell a decent Callaway stand bag for $90. Otherwise, keep checking the golf stores for closeouts. I'm lucky to be close to a PGA Tour Superstore, and it seems every month they will have some bags on closeout for $60-80.

The bags with the individual slots for each club obviously are bigger and heavier. If you walk and carry, I would recommend against. And this, as a public service announcement - DON'T WORRY ABOUT BAG CHATTER. These are golf clubs, not museum pieces. They are made to dig in the dirt. They get scuffed. They get scratched. They get dings from banging together. This is what happens to golf clubs. It is their DUTY. Don't interfere.

I just bought the Callaway Stadium Bag with 14 slots. I don't like it at all. To make the bag smaller and lighter the holes are small and it is tough to get the clubs all the way to the bottom. The last time I played I put most of the clubs in the basket behind my seat.
