Maybe check out Treosofts or Nike Karmas. I play the e7+ but I don't think it would work as good for you as it is on the firmer side and I hit a lot farther too so softer is probably best for you. I would say the best fit from my knowledge is the e5+. It is 27 bucks a dozen, right in the middle of the road between cheap balls and expensive balls. It is two piece with a high trajectory and a urethane cover to boot, which is right up your alley if you want soft feel and spin. Hope this helps.

The Top-Flite D2 Feel would be comparable to the Nike Powersofts and I think they are around $15 for a pack of 15.

Top Flites have always been a good bet for the average golfer. They used to get a bad rap because, like the Pinnacles, they'd scuff, but wouldn't cut. People played them long after they should have been put into the shag bag.

Most low or even mid handicappers refuse to put a Top Flite product in play. I laugh at that "logic" On Sunday I was easily as long off the tee as my playing partners - and as close to pin on approaches. I dropped a longish putts on the 8th hole and the two guys hitting the Titleist Pro V1s were surprised to see what I pulled out of the hole. A Top Flite XL Tour - $12.99 / dozen at Sport Mart.

Check out the Top Flite Gamer. Apparently Top Flight was bought by Callaway and they are Callaway balls now (no more rocks). This ball is soft and spins like a Pro V1. Very fairly priced as well.

I like the gamers but I wouldn't call them soft nor would I say they have a ton of spin. I play the Karma early morning and the gamers in the afternoon/evening. The Karma really has a soft feel around the green if that is what you are looking for.

I read somewhere that the Nike Karma a ladies' ball - maybe it was even on this site!?!

I'd like to check them out, but I don't want to look like black glove wearing, Ian Poulter head cover sporting, groove brushing, golf newb.

No.. the Karma is listed as a men's ball.. at least they were listed under "men's" last I checked online at golftown. Regardless, they are white with green writing so nobody would know the difference. Personally I'd tee off with a shovel hitting a pink ball and putt with a pool cue if it meant a par or birdie. Really like how they feel while putting btw.

The Srixon AD333 is very similar to the Nike PowerSoft. A buddy and I have played them both and we both felt they were very similar.

At two 12-packs for $25 the Srixon is a great value ball and great to putt with if you like the soft feel. Just as long as a ProV for me, too.
