I agree they have the

You bring up good points, but this is a young man, not an old fart such as myself. His right to left ratio good so IMO he should get blades so he doesn't develope bad habits and does develope a good golf swing. I know this works cuz thats what I learn with and it works. Sure he will labor more, but that is what makes success that much sweeter and rewarding. The majority of 25-17 hc's are old untrainable men and this isn't the case with the inquirie. He may be a high hc at this time, but I bet that will change. I do agree though that if we were talking about anyone over 35-40 cb's would be the way to go. Or anyone who just wants to go hit the ball around with the boys, get cb's. But if you are going to be serious mb's will ingrain better habits.

By the time someone is a 10 hc they usually have at least a knock down draw shot, which I consider working the ball. I do agree that nothing beats a good straight shot, but it won't behoove one to learn how to work a ball, especially knock down and punch shots. Many of the pro's play cb's b/c they are paid to play them. If you have a opportunity to go to a Nation Wide or any mini tour look at what clubs those guys are play'n. I say this b/c they don't get paid to play clubs, they have to buy their own equipment. What I've seen, (and admittedly I haven't been to many mini tour events), was mostly Titleist and Mizuno about half were mb's.

I'm 15 and play off 13. I'm a fairly good ball-striker and right now I'm playing a set of big cavity backs. I want to upgrade to a new set which is slightly smaller and more workable. Right now I'm considering the Titleist AP2, since the new 710 are coming out I will most likely try to get them for around 600 bucks 4-PW. I play a Ping I10 3-iron and i find it to be a great club. it's quite forgiving and it gives me a low penetrating ball-flight which I like since I mainly play in windy conditions. I'm also considering the Taylormade Tour Preferred which is similar to the AP2 just a little cheaper and not forged.

Why play cast clubs?

Cast clubs are not the choice of solid ball strikers.
