I just left my clubs to get regripped with the Winn G8's .

Anyone else playing with these? I don't use a glove and these felt really good. If I like them might as well do the wedges and driver.

I put the G8's on my irons last year, felt real nice, then this year for some reason I didnt like them. They had the feeling of being too soft for me, even though the G8 is one of the firmer grips that Winn makes. Its all on preference, although I put the one that you had in the picture on my driver and had to change it the next day, too soft for me.

Rafi had 'em on his irons and switched 'em out at some point. I tried them and didn't like them at all. Too soft (and yeah, one of the firmer ones from Winn).

I still really like the Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound (NDMC). Plus they now make them in different colors, so I may have to get orange or something... ooooh.

Maverick,

The G8's are an interesting grip in that they feel soft, but have absolutely no tack at all to them. When wet, stable grip is nearly impossible, so be careful. Durability for all but the most light grip pressure players is a major question from the ones I've seen brought in. All these new fangled grips, colors, compounds, and mixed materials. I still stick with Lamkin's Tour Black Full Cord grip. No other grip combines it's traction, durability, and feel. You might want to try Lamkin's dual density if you want a soft feel with some tack, or the dual density torsion control if you want a little less tack.

How are they holding up on the irons?

the "some point" was 4 rounds after the original installation. The soft feel was awful (it's a subjective thing, I know), even though they were labeled "hard" - felt like a towel wrapped around the club. But the WORST was during a rain-round. These grips in rain feel straight-out slippery, like I'd dipped them in KY-gel (somebody told me that comparison

). The worst $100 I ever spent. Of course - it's only my opinion and I'm not being paid for it (like Daly and Harmon )
