I play the TM Burner 09's and like them.

They're both really good irons. Hit them both and make up your mind. If you still can't decide flip a coin.

I wonder if the G15's are gonna be that much BETTER than the G10's? any info on what they changed?

wth are you talking about?

http://www.taylormadegolf.com/#303S0 The Burner Plus is a different iron and was out last year. The 09 Burner's are the first set of irons using their progressive design approach. the 09 Burners won't have a replacement until next year or possibly 2 years from now.

I feel like they've stayed pretty close to the roots of the G2, G5, G10 line. I think the biggest difference between the stock G5 and G10 was the addition of the AWT shaft. There was also a slight change in tint/color of the irons.

I love these AWT shafts....nice spine and heft yet the ball really gets up there, exactly what I was hoping for. I saw a set of G15's yesterday. They are sharp looking. I'm looking forward to tyring out the G15 hybrids....I'd like to try one in with the steel AWT shaft.

My dad has the burner irons. Its so forgiving and gives maximum distances. With a 7 iron i can carry 190 yards no problem. G10 isn't so bad, but i dont like the feel at impact and it looks too clunky to me.

AH thanks man, I just always clicked on the COMPARE irons page and for some reason it does NOT show the 09 burner..

Take a look: http://www.taylormadegolf.com/#303S0 Edit: just click on the "irons comparison" on the bottom. Again thanks for pointing that out. I always just went straight to the COMPARE section thinking I could look at ALL of them at once /shrug hehe

It's pretty clear really that there isn't a "best" between any two comparable sets of irons. It truly comes down to what's best for a particular individual. When I tried the Burners I felt comfortable. I was confidant at set up. When I hit the ball they felt great. I'm just as certain the G10 users, The Titleist users, Mizuno users etc...had a similar experience. Try both sets and other clubs too. You'll know when you've found your club. Whatever you choose...if you don't have them fitted to you, you're not getting everything you're paying for.

That's odd, they used to be there. The Burner Plus is actually an older iron.

Yeah, totally weird. They were @ the bottom. Ahh well, they have a pretty crappy Website. So annoying to navigate that thing when you just want information.

Unless Ping is paying you to play them buy the burners.

I recently just got the Burner irons and am extremely happy with my purchase. Every club is individually designed for maximum performance instead of just altering the lofts of each head and sticking them on a shaft. Also gaining more yards with each club but that might be just because they are made at lower lofts.

I play the G10's and they have been great, you can fell it when you hit the ball sweet and when you don't so they give feedback, they do look a bit clunky but does it matter what they look like if they work for you? They are long as well, Ping make great irons and always have.

I am looking at changing to i10's or i15's as my ball flight is very high with the G10's (they are designed to get the ball up for beginners mind) and this is causing me issues when it is windy, my driver and woods flights are fine so will be looking at new irons next year some time hopefully.

One thing I'll say about the Burner 09 irons is toe hits really fly. And you know when you hit off the toe because the feel is different and the sound is as well. But the shots are still really, really great.

Just recently purchesed the 09' Burner irons. Great easy to hit clubs, and seem very hot off the face and hit longer. The reason being that the lofts are a few degrees lower on every club than usually come standard. Great clubs for players stuggling with distance. You'll be flying by your buddy's ball in no time!

You said the i10's and i15's hit flatter than the Ping "G's", but what about forgiveness?

Would you say the I's and pretty close to the G's when it comes to forgiveness? OR what woudl you say is the major differences in the I's and G'? Still looking at: Callaway X18r's Ping (g10,i10) 09 TM Burners Just can not make up my dang mind hehe
