Alright, I have completely fixed all of the problems I had with my driver. I step up to every tee box confidently. Something I did to fix my swing was in my hands. At address I put my hands forward tilting the club up a bit more. My drives have been going longer and straighter than ever. It has also helped a bunch when hitting my 3 wood and hybrid clubs off the fairway.

Now here's the problem: Irons.

Whenever I do this "tilt" with the club it seems to take off the loft. The tilt isn't anything extreme, it gives me the true loft of the club for the driver. However, does this translate the same with irons? I haven't been hitting my irons very well since then. Is this incorrect for irons but correct for the driver? Or is it correct and I just need more practice with this change to my swing?

Hi

Your divots ? in front of a ball or not ? Sounds like you're swing fix is shallowing approach (with irons could be some problems with this method) . But ... with hands ahead of a ball (tilt forward) usually one gets too steep ??!! Maybe you getting too much inside (second problem with tilt forward). Post your swing !

cheers,
m

What do you mean by 'forward'? Toward the target or toward the ball at address?

The bag:

Although it appears that all it is causing you to do is put your hands forward, I think the real thing it is fixing is dropping your back shoulder a little bit and causing you to hit the driver on the up swing. With irons this is not recommended. I don't do it with irons, but do a little with woods. Only like an inch or two further forward though, not quite as far as the picture.

In my Ozone stand bag:
Driver: 909 D2 9.5
3 Wood: MT-15
Irons: 1025-C 3-P
Gap: Spin Milled 52-06 Oil-CanSand: Spin Milled 56-08 RawLob: Spin Milled 60-13 Oil-CanPutter: AntiguaBall: Z-Star X

That was probably the root of my problems when I tried doing it with irons. It kills the loft! Thanks for the help!
