Okay so for a while I've been playing the e7+ with great results, but I'm looking into a premium ball for more short game control, since the e7+ always runs out too far on most shots. I'm set on either the B330 or B330-S, but don't know which one to try. I'm thinking the S, but not sure. More clearly, which one will be easier to stick on greens and spin off of wedges? Also, are these somewhat durable for a urethane cover ball? I really need durability because I can't spend $45.00 all the time on balls. I've heard they are much more durable than the pro v1. I would like to hear any other comments or reviews about these 2 balls.

These are very durable. The B330-S will be a little softer and is more likely to "stick" than the B330 due to the higher spin rate. I game both but tend to play the B330-S more often since I find that I like the softer feel.

The e6+ is my winter ball b/c its long and straight, b/c greens are soft and receptive in the winter so spin isn't a big deal and when they plug I don't feel I'm out of a lot of money.

I will play whatever tour quality ball I can get for the lowest price cuz for me they are all about the same. However, if I have to pay retail I go directly for 330s's.

Ok thanks guys. I'm definitely gonna give the B330-S a try. Hopefully I'll get a dozen monday.

the B330 series are great balls
I game the RX, because it has less driver spin and great feel around the greens
I can get a good amount of spin w them, even w a 5i and beleive it ot not a 4w!

I stuck a ball on the green w my 4w and the B330-RX from 225yds out - it landed and stuck within a foot of the divot

It says the RX's are technically for slower swing speeds, but I am a 103-108mph w the driver and approx. 86mph w the 6i - and I get along w them just fine

as metioned above, go online and take the Bridgetsone Ball fitting test and choose your weapon!

My result on the ball fitting test was the B330-S. I don't know how fast I swing, but I do know that my full speed swing is fast enough to produce a 300 yard drive, so I think the B330 would be a good fit for me. I don't mind the e7+ at all other than it doesn't hold greens very good. I am ready to stop seeing good pitch shots roll out way past the pin.

Its funny I am a little older and my SS is down to 100-102 with the driver and I did not like the RX at all.But I do like the 330 S a lot.I play the Cally I ball for the overall performance of it but I think the 330S is a little longer off the driver for me so go figure.

That "ball-fitting" thing for Bridgestone is dumb... it only lists the B3_ _, aka the more expensive balls.

Just buy a sleeve of the two balls you are considering and test them out when you play...

    • Day 468 - 2026-01-11 Loooooong day. Did some work in the patio door (as a mirror) when I got home.
    • I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
