I have always played OTR clubs

I played with standard loft/lie clubs for years, and since I was fitted for my new irons...I can definitely tell the difference. My fitting was 2 degrees upright. All clubs I've owned before have felt as if I was reaching too far out for the ball when the club is soled flat to the turf. Not that I couldn't hit it...it was simply not comfortable to get the sole level. With my current irons I take my stance with my hands in the most comfortable hitting position and the club soles perfectly to the turf. My swing feels more grooved now, and my ball striking is more consistent than it's ever been.

I got my r7's at Golf Galaxy, and they said the clubs fit me perfect in length, but they said if I hit a lot of shots fat to bring em in and they'd cut em a bit for free. But, they work great for me and I've had no problems with chunking any of my shots. I am 5' 8" or 5' 9" so whoever said 5' 7" to 6' was right.
