At the moment I have a Taylormade Burner Draw 07 version.
It is starting to show wear and tear from 2 years of pounding so thinking of buying the above in thread title..
I am a consistent slicer and the Burner Draw helped cure this somewhat but not as often as I liked, yeah I know its the swing and not the club but I just like the extra bit of help with the draw bias
I have heard great things and read good reviews about the Nike and how straight it goes.
I know the looks might not to be everyones taste but I have to say I love how they look.
Anyone have or used one?

I too had / have a bad slice from time to time Paddy and tried a number of new drivers when getting fitted and came away with the Dymo2.

I can still slice it but when you hit it outta the middle of the club, it goes a mile!

I would recommend it without doubt, but bear in mind i am a relative newcomer to golf

I'm a high-handicapper...and generally lack confidence with the driver as I usually slice it.

I have to say that out of all the drivers I tested...the Dymo2 came out top!! I'm actually hitting fairways...and definitely hitting futher!

Everything about this club screams confidence and STRAIGHT!

Don't get me wrong - if you have poor technique...you will still slice and hook...trust me...!

One slight negative thing...I find the club head a tad heavy. It doesn't have that weightless feeling that other clubs do...e.g. the Cobra S9-1 (another great club!) - I think if it weighed less, I would be able to swing it faster and have more control...but at this point I think I'll stick with keeping it straight...

By SQ Dymo 2 I take it you mean the str8-fit one as you play a draw, and as the normal SQ Dymo is in a neutral only?

I have always played a draw as I have always sliced my driver and 3 wood (never with my irons/hybrid) so did not want to mess with my swing hence me always playing a draw driver/3 wood.

When I went looking for a new driver to replace my Cleveland High Bore XLS Draw (also worn out) I tried the SQ Dymo Str8-fit and Taylormade R9 with FCT and after testing the two I settled on the Nike as it was more consitent for me.

So I have the SQ Dymo str8-fit driver with the adjustable shaft set to L which is 2deg closed so equals a draw

The SQ Dymo is the traditional shaped driver head which I prefer to the SQ Dymo 2 which is a square head.
Only reason I am aware to get the Square one over the Traditional is more forgiveness.

I would try the R9 as well as the SQ Dymo since you play Taylormade at the moment.

I would go with the Sumo2 since it is more square and should help you swing a little better. I would say only get the dymo if you need the str8 fit it offers.

There are four different drivers, Dymo and Dymo² (fixed) and then STR8 fit versions of both. Sounds like the OP is asking about the regular Dymo² (square, non-STR8 fit).

I'm currently gaming the regular round Dymo as it won out by far in a driver fitting I had about a month ago. The square version was straighter, but was also 10-15 yards shorter for me. The round version was still extremely straight but I do have a slight draw with it.

Nike makes really good products. I play a Sumo driver because out of all the drivers I hit the nikes the best, the Sumo's price point was 1/2 that of the dymo and I couldn't justify shelling out more for the new model when I was hitting the sumo better.

I think you really need to hit the driver. I went into the shop looking for a driver, the last thing I wanted to play was a Nike really. I wanted a Titleist D2 or Taylormade but the Nike just hit better. Same thing happened when I looked for new Irons and for hybrids (which btw the nike SQ hybrids are ridiculous and singlehandedly shaved 10 strokes off my game). I know it seems like I'm advertising for them but they make really good products, BUT try it for yourself!

edit: I have the round Sumo2 as I couldn't stand to look at the square one. If my club looks like a box on the end of a broomstick at address then I quit.

If you currently play a slice using a TM Burner Draw then I strongly suggest you get the Str8ft model of that Dymo. You are going to need the ability to close the face to match your current driver.

The standard Nike sets up with a nice square face, I believe. It will correct certain shapes but it can't work miracles.

Good luck.

What I honestly think is get lessons instead,
You are off 23 at the moment and if you get a couple of lessons you could get down to 10 with a bit of pratice

I played a round this morning and used my mates Ping G10 that he lent me for the round..
Holy mother of divine Mercy the club is amazing!
I hit one almost 300yards and straight! In fact everyone I hit went straight compared to 70% with my Taylormade Burner
Usually Im in the 250-270yard bracket, but this landed right at the 150 yard to green marker on a 450 yard hole!

Now Im confused altogether about what to get

The G10 is a stout driver in it's own right.

There should be some great pick ups on ebay now that the G15 is out.

I still kick myself for trading my G10 in April. I grew to not like the shaft....should've pulled it and put in another type......shoulda, woulda, coulda......

I'd recommend going in for a fitting if you can. I had a G10 and didn't hit it all that well, and when the shaft cracked I used that as an excuse to replace it. Turns out the G10 gave me worse numbers than anything else I hit, so you just can't be sure until you try a few out.

The deals are kind of crazy on Ebay these days. Established sellers are letting New SQ Dymo 2 Drivers go for under $130.

Thanks everyone. As a result of this thread I went and tried one yesterday and loved it! I had been using a Callaway X460 and just could not control it. Like another poster above, I only had this problem with my driver. Yesterday while demoing the DYMO2 STR8-FIT, the results were staggering. I usually hit long and by eye looked like i was leaving a little yardage out there but to me the ball flight was a reasonable tradeoff. Found a brand new one on ebay from a reputable seller for $188. Can't wait to finally play with a driver again.
