Its the most wonderful time of the year (for golf)

Fall golf is nice; not so hot and the course is less crowded. They punched greens about two weeks ago at my home course, so they are slow right now, but we are having great weather which should allow them to grow back nicely and leave them in better shape for playing in the winter months.

I have to respectfully disagree. This is the worst time of year. Yeah sure, the weather is pleasant, but, the days are getting shorter! It was dark at 7:15 yesterday. That time is going to fall shorter and shorter, faster and faster. Before I know it, dark at 5:10! bleh.

I will agree that fall is my favorite time of year. Few things I do not like though are... shorter days and leaves all over the greens, but weather-wise it does not get any better. Obviously each region handles fall differently.

Heat index, 101F today and humid as hell... UGHHH, and rains EVERY day at 5pm...

Havent played one round in September due to this..... Can only play afternoons and man its either raining or like a sauna out there....

Our nice season starts in about a month or so... But then prices double.

Also, Fall brings hunting season and I do love to kill stuff.

Pin high with that one. Most of the people I golf with I archery hunt with too and this time of year pitch/archery distances become one when we talk on the course. "Green pin"...."Yellow pin".... "I'd take that shot".. "Better aim high"...

Plus we're all much better shots with a bow than a wedge. And that's probably not gonna change anytime soon.
