I wish I could stick with a wand that long. It sure would help my game to do so.

Best club in my bag. I am thinking of getting it reconditioned by Scotty cameron. I bought it brand new in the wrapper from my old club pro for $165. Couldn;t beat that deal.

Is it fair for a non-Scotty owner who out-putts a Scotty owner to throw that in his face on the green?

only if the scotty owner is a d-bag that really has to remind you what kind of putter they are using. Who really cares what kind of putter it is, if it works it works.

No. In the interest of speeding up the game, you should wait until you're walking to the next tee box (while you're writing down the scores). Also be sure to put an asterix/footnote beside his score when he 3 putts - at the bottom put an asterix beside a pile of poo. And don't forget the stink lines.

I really like the way that cleveland looks. Always been a fan of that style putter

And after I outdrive you with a 4-5 yr old driver compared to your $499 brand new driver, I'll kick mud in your face too. Oh, I see that's a copy of Scotty Cameron's Del Mar.

1.) I'm not sure all my clubs put together cost $499.

2.) Regarding my new putter being a copy of a Titleist (and the Titleist is probably a copy of something else - maybe a Wilson Staff or a Cleveland or an Odyssey?) - not being a Scottiephile, I would have no knowledge of that. 3.) I'm not going to get into a pi$$ing contest with someone on the internet about driving distance, but I'm actually okay with the distance I get from my second hand Callaway (9* BB Warbird) that I bought out of a garbage can about 3 or 4 summers ago. 4.) sarcasm : a form of verbal irony in which apparent praise is actually harshly or bitterly critical. sarcastically: in a sarcastic manner; "`Ah, now we're getting at the truth,' he interposed sarcastically"

you should reward yourself after such a hard accomplishment and this will definately help your game. i was just rewarded by my parents about a week ago and they just ordered a set AP2s because i reached my year long goal of getting a 3.7 GPA and going under 15 handicap after a year of playing golf (i'm at 13.5 right now)

I have always felt that whatever putter makes you feel most confident is the one to use. Whether that be an SC or a putt-putt putter. What other people think shouldn't affect that.

I wouldn't give a second thought to what anyone thought of my choice of putter. Your money, your game, buy what you want. That also goes for all these guys around here that say someones handicap doesn't justify the clubs they own or looking at. Other than advice that you solicit, tell them their opinion will matter when they start buying your clubs. All this can be done in a friendly tone, but sincere none the less.

Your opinions seem to be unanimous. 15 lbs. down, 35 to go! The great thing about losing the weight is that I am noticing that my game is improving as I slim down (go figure,) so my point might be moot by the time I get my SC anyhow. It's good to know that the majority of the golfers on this board have their heads on straight. Thanks for your input.

Do it, just having something that you love in your hand will make you feel better and then you will perform better.

yes there are "cheaper" putters that will put the ball in the hole but do you want something cheap or do you want a Scotty?

Dont let anyone's opinion of you get to you. Chances are the Scotty will improve your game so it wont matter to much anyway. Plus they look WAY cool.

PS- I set a similar goal for myself and did it so good for you and good luck.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
