I'm in the process of buying a putter and have not found another putter that comes close to the feel I have with the Itsy Bitsy Spider. I will be trying a few more putters tomorrow, but the itsy bitsy spider is in the lead right now.

if you havnt tried the odyssey white hot f7 definatly give it a try.. i couldnt decide between it and its spider.. they were very similar in feel and stuff.. i like how the ball comes of the face of the spider a little bit more than the f7 though which is why i went with it.. it was also a tiny bit cheaper.

I've been waiting for an ebay auction on one where the price is right and I got the money for it for about 2 or 3 weeks now.. soon as the stars align I'm gonna get one.

I have one. I spent about 10 hours on the practice green getting used to it on the course before I played. At first I was putting the ball waaaaaaaay past the cup, but I quickly got used to it.

If nothing else, it gets funny looks when the cover comes off.......lol

Rock Bottom Golf has them pretty cheap and I almost bought one. Then I stumbled upon an Odyssey White Hot #2 on Ebay for $24 and figured I would give it a shot. If the #2 doesn't work, I will pick up the Spider from RBG.

They pulled a fast one this week so be careful. It was 99.99 on their website last week. This week, they are offering 15% off of anything you buy. But, they marked it up and now, with the discount it's $103.99. So, it's four dollars more than before.

Not a big deal, just an FYI. I would still pay the extra $4 if I wanted to buy one this week since it's still a great deal.

OK, so I just had to try this ugly thing today. I've read some reviews and some of the things on this site. I was just curious what all the hype was about.

The Golf Galaxy I go to has a monster putting green. It's huge and even has some nice break built in. I picked up the putter, grabbed a few balls and hit some short puts (3 footers). Made every one, which isn't unusual, but I wasn't even trying. I just wanted to see how it felt.

So I grabbed my putter (2 ball) off the rack. Made a few, but missed a few too.

I hit a few across the green with the spider (probably 30-40 feet, drained a few and the ones I missed either lipped out or nestled close. It was insane.

I guess, long story short, I was impressed. I think I could look past the looks of it. I wonder if I trade in/sell my putters to get one. I already own TM irons and some woods, what's another club?

Pshht...Try carrying the grandaddy Spyder. I love the thing to death, but it's a doozy. I hated on it pretty bad before I tried it. I get plenty of inane comments about it now, but most people are just curious about how I like it. FWIW, I'm not a fan of any other Rossa Monza.

And I'm a PGA Tour pro on the putting green at Golfsmith/PGA Superstore. Don't know if it's a conspiracy to sell putters, I'm just sayin'...

Ben Hogan is my swing coach.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
