From what I have read, people complain of their left wrist hurting (for right handed golfers) due to hard impacts, etc. That is not the case for me, both of my wrists hurt after playing. I am 27 years old.

Could this be a flexibility problem where my ligaments are not able to handle the movements? Or could it be a technique problem? Up until now, I have always practiced the open club, late wrist cock, versus the backwards, early wrist cock. A lot of players cock their wrists both ways so I don't think that particular part of my swing could be the problem although I do intend on practicing the backwards wrist break next time I go to the range.

Before I play, I always stretch my wrists and try to keep them warm to reduce the pain. However, I have been playing a lot the last couple of weeks and the pain has been constant, and not going away really. I think it may be time to see a physical therapist about this...

Anyways sorry for the long post, was mostly curious if others out there experience wrist pain, and when/how long they experience it, which hands, etc. And what have you done to deal with it?

Are your wrists cupped at the top of the swing. If they are, they could be "stuck" and under a bind.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

This past January I did something similar. Overpracticed and hurt my wrist. It felt
like a sprain when I made a fist, or picked up anything. I spent 2 weeks only working
on my short game ie: lob wedge at the house, before I went back to play and the rest
helped it and hasn't occurred and I play each week 3 times. Ice is good too on the area.
