That is a great thread, and some of the best comments are by Drifterland. The term "fade" merely means that the ball moves mildly left to right (for a righty). A "power fade" is a fade hit with a slightly open club face and an inside-out swing. It doesn't have anything to do with how hard you hit it. Whether Ben Hogan and Lee Trevino only hit it 250-260 and Jack Nicklaus hit it almost 300, it's still a power fade. I still stand by my original comment that Ben Hogan used this as an "anti-hook" shot, and it transformed his game.

Maybe but I think BH did a lot extra i.e. fan his club face open going back and he had a cupped left wrist at the top I think as well. Extras which most of us may not need to perfect and things which would be quite difficult to perfect.
