Does anybody know a good way to find instructors who teach stack and tilt? I have been looking on the web and it is really hit or miss. I think it would be a good fit for me, and I am ready to take lessons if there is a good instructor around my area. Thanks for any help. Good luck with your swing changes!

thanks, and you could try my method buy the dvd series and go that way.

i dont have a camera and wont be able to get one till around january.i could post low quality phone videos.but i doubt that would be much help.

A hundred bucks? I still recommend the Zi6. With the $24 to $30 you saved on Scorecard you're most of the way there.

Zi6 does 720p at 60 frames per second.
I'd love to see your stats and club distances after you start using the Stack & Tilt swing. Should be interesting.

FWIW, my distances all jumped because I made better contact, didn't wipe across the ball quite as much, and compressed the ball better with my hands a bit more ahead of the ball. 7I's a comfortable 165 now, and can stretch to a good bit further if need be. Have hit 8I 175 when necessary.

The vids are great !!! As a beginning Stacker, i can honestly say that at the very least posting vid will help big time.

Listen to Ted. He knows. One of the forums is egolfevolution.com, but Dave runs that and posts here, too. Dave's the guy dietz is talking about here in Erie.

Take your time with the DVDs, too, ping. No need to rush. You'll do a lot of rewinding and re-playing certain parts.

Where are you located? I can ask Dave. He knows where they're all located.

If you can implement it in half a week you'll be my new hero. C'mon, it's gonna take awhile, particularly doing it on your own. Give it some time. I'm not saying you won't see immediate results, but to really get it will take quite awhile.

its a relatively new swing that keeps weight over the ball, not shifting your weight behind it.

That's the feeling, yeah. The weight still moves (force plates prove that), you just don't feel like it does.

i wasnt tryint to say ill have it down but i should have a basic understanding.i estimate 6 monthes to a year to have it pretty well down and that to is pretty high expectations.

unfortunately i didnt save money on scorecard

but im pretty strapped for money at the moment christmas is killing me i might be able to borrow a buddys camera and if i can will post the s&t; swing,i dont want to try to use my old swing as that might undo some of my learnings.

I guess. Maybe. I mean, I was about the same handicap index as the one you had listed and I didn't play golf for three weeks when I first took lessons, and when I did I hit some, well, some really

bizarre shots for awhile. If you can "tough through it" that's one thing, but a heavy dose of range work with a lot of reliance on video is what I'd prescribe. You're going it alone from the DVDs which will make it tougher, but doing it without video and trying to play right away? That strikes me as kind of silly... I hope it's a long-term plan for you. It seems like it is, with your 6-12 month estimate. Stick to it. And re-consider spending a hundred bucks on a video camera. Christmas is coming up, after all. Good luck...

HEHE.... love that Ping....

Dave told me it took him 8 months just to get the finish down to the point that it matches the 'prescribed' method. And this on the back of working with Andy. I really think ANYONE can do the pattern, but i also think to learn the subtle nuances is a whole nother ball game !! And I'm not sure if you can get all of it off the dvd's !! (unfortunately). Ted

yea im going long term with it,and i will ask for a camera for christmas.for now i was gonna use the mirror to check what im doing.ill try to post up a video as soon as i can get a camera.o and i cant go that long without playing

o wow hmm guess im gonna have to work super hard

no biggies Ping..... When he told me that, I had to step back and reevaluate my whole thought process as well

Its so much fun though... hitting the ball first opens up a whole new world. The big thing that i noticed was a higher ball flight, and the divots are shallow, dollar bill like. Keep up the hard work, and get some vid posted !!

i dont really struggle hitting the ball first or with super big divots im looking for a more reliable consistant swing.

Ok i went to the range and well it wasnt pretty to say the least, its still feels wierd to me i mean i hit some really really good shots but some really bad ones to,o well have to practice more

Ping, this is a good thread man. Do you honestly think that your ball striking will come out better because of this?

I cant afford lessons and I do have problems with consistency. I have looked into the S&T and it seems legit, if after your range session, you can vouch for it, I may just pick up the dvd's...

Be nice to break 80 someday, if I can get more consistent with my approach shots, I know I can get there.
