Everyone seems to be discounting the Adams Speedline Driver and Hybrid. It seems unusual that this would occur so soon after they were introduced. Are they not selling or is there going to be improvements coming out? I was interested in these sticks, but am concerned that too good of a deal is just that and there is a reason for the discounting. Anyone playing the Speedline Driver or Hybrid. The Sandtrap review held them in high regard.

a good friend of mine plays Adams Speedline and loves them . They're just not as well known as the more popular brands like Callaway , Taylor Made , Ping , etc

Until recently I was gaming an Adams Insight XTD that I got dirt cheap a few months after it hit the stores. I think its a brand/marketing issue. I haven't met many people that have hit Adams Drivers that didn't love 'em. I only gave mine up because it was offset.

It's a marketing issue. Ryan Moore, who refuses sponsorship, so he can play whatever he wants, won the Wyndham Championship with and still uses the Adams Speedline Driver (according to multiple websites) He's ranked 36th in driver distance.

I have the driver and hybrid-three wood. I liked them a lot, but am in the process of switching to a Nak HTEC 460, simply because the 9.5 speedline I have launches a little too high and with a little too much spin. I suppose that I could have gone with an 8.5, or a different shaft (I have an Ozik), but I really liked the Nak after I was fitted. I am keeping the three wood, as it hits nicely off the tee, and is very easy to hit off the deck and out of the junk.

The speedline for me was a consistant performer.

I love my Speedline driver, but only after cutting a little more than an inch off the shaft... 46" is too long for me to control. Before that, I was spraying it all over the place!

I suspect they're trying to clear house so that the improved Speedline 9032's can get some attention.

I've seen the Speedline driver gaining popularity on the Golden State Tour (a mini-tour I play on) these days. Makes me want to try one too. I think the srop in price would have to do with the possiblity of a new model coming. But that's just an assumption. I am not up to date on their equipment releases.

    • I know. I was just kidding. BTW - I'd take the second place with the meltdown. It would at least make a good story.
    • That answers my question.  That feels more natural to me. I'll work on that. Thanks
    • Complex question. Good players begin pushing forward around P2. Visibly around P3. They're well on their way forward at P4.
    • Still plugging away with the teacher.  I do have a question after working on some drills last night. This is something I should know already but for some reason, I have gotten myself confused. It deals with weight transfer on the downswing. At what point, should that take place?  Should it be early (prior to reaching A4) ?  I ask because in one of my drills  I get to A4, I feel the weight transfer AS my arms drop, and then go.  Now this may be totally normal, but I "feel" like this gets me in a weird timing position and causes me to try and do too much at once.
    • Tentatively in for at least one of those days. My job situation is a bit up in the air at the moment so need to get that sorted out first then I'll know more for sure or not.
