Finally, here is a couple vids of my swing. When the weather gets nice again, I'll get some iron shots and some DTL shots.

I have not seen my swing on video in a long time. A couple things I noticed. I don't like that my head moves back a little, but it does not affect results at all, so I might deal with it or not (haven't decided yet). I do like that my wrists do not twist in the swing. Look how long in the back swing the arms are straight and the wrists have not changed from their starting position. Another thing I really like is the soft left knee. If my knee was straight, my back would hurt. hheeheh I know it's not like Moe, but I have used some of his fundamentals to get control of the golf ball. I have a few things to work on, but I think a lot before I tinker at all. Besides, I hit t ball straight, so I'm not too worried about it.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

^some of that is probably camera angle.
Its hard to tell a lot from that angle compared to a down the line video but It definitely looks like you swing on a good plane. I don't think it looks to fast and jerky at all.

It is interesting that the club is pretty far from parallel but I suppose thats a million times better than a fake back swing. Great fundamentals though, weight on the inside of the right foot on the back swing with a good amount of lag through the ball.

What's your driver carry? Can you work the ball with that "Moe" swing? I'm just super curious.

We were playing the other day when we took those vids, and the guy was not very good with the cam. I had to scrap a few he too because they were way off and very jerky. When the weather gets good again, I'm going to go and film irons, hybrids and some wedges.

ball position changed from first to second vid.. your swing is a fast/jerky one..

I change my ball position depending on what I want to do. The first on may be a bit farther back because it was into a 20 mph wind and I wanted to keep it down. And as far as jerky goes, I'm slower than I used to be. I am very controlled now and I don't even swing hard anymore.

What's your driver carry? Can you work the ball with that "Moe" swing? I'm just super curious.

I don't know my carry because it changes depending on the shot I want to hit and how high I want to hit it. I like the ball a little lower, so my carry will not be as far, but I will get more roll. If I tee it up and put the ball more forward in my stance, I can carry it 275 - 290 if I really get a hold of one. My average will probably be around 265-270, but again, I like a lower ball flight - I feel I have more control if I get the ball on a certain trajectory.

I can work the ball as well. I love a buttery fade. I have worked hard to eliminate the left side of the golf course, so I have to really focus to hit a big draw with my driver. If I want to draw a ball, I'll just hit my 3-w and because it draws, it goes just as far. Irons I can work both ways pretty easily, but straight is my bread and butter.
It is interesting that the club is pretty far from parallel but I suppose thats a million times better than a fake back swing. Great fundamentals though, weight on the inside of the right foot on the back swing with a good amount of lag through the ball.

I know I'm not quite to parallel, but I still have a full shoulder turn. When the shoulders stop turning, there is no need to bend the arms to make a "full" back swing. By not bending the arms too much, everything stays connected very well and the transition is much easier with no loss of power.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

Im not sure the sliding of the back foot helps much with balance? I didn't notice it in Moe's vids. Like how you 'get' left on the follow through... (Glad its not a cookie cutter swing)

Thank God my sliding of the trail foot is with the transfer of the weight and does not affect anything. I would like to keep it from sliding, but I think I would end up not getting back to square. I need to get a bunch of vids and really examine close up what I need to work on and think on how and if I want to work on them. Honestly, I think this the sliding of the trail foot helps me hold my lag a little longer and helps me keep the club from flipping over at impact. If I kept the trail food down just like Moe, I might have a big hook.... and I don't want that.

The slide does seem quite controlled. I would think after a while your toes would hurt?

    • Day 1 - First chipping and pitching. Focus on a better grip, the fundamentals and taking the club back on plane, not outside. Feels good. Then some full swings. Focus on improving the setup. Weight more forward, more bent over, and same grip stuff.
    • Congrats on the improvement. Cheers for lots of continued improvement in the future. IMO you've gotta get away from these spots… Those are partly "results" as the work will begin on things earlier in the swing. Good luck.
