Used the cart today and man was it a joy to use. No shoulder pains halfway through the round, I felt fresh the whole time, and my game starting "waking" up after 8 holes, usually thats where I start getting my left shoulder spasms...

I am gonna switch between carrying and pushing though, there is something very "authentic" about carrying that I really like. But this summer, I will be pushing the cart everyday, not carrying in that heat!

I always carry, takes a while to get used to it but keeps me fit/
I had a buggy on a golf trip earlier this year as the courses were very hilly, I found that you are on top of your shot before you have had chance to think about how you want to play it, I like having the time between shots to have a think as I walk the fairway, or rough LOL

I use a pull cart for 18 and carry for 9. Although I am considering starting to carry the full 18.... Depends on how hot it gets over summer.... Its been 30c+ already for about a week so it doesn't look good..

Oh and even though it sounds like you've chosen to walk if you needed another incentive I have lost 12kgs in 12 months since taking up the game again. No other changes that I can think of..

I use a push cart when I walk, for years I carried but I have gotten older, and I carry around a the weight or a bag of clubs already, so I have been using a push cart.

I used to carry 100% of the time. But because the straps on my bag has worn out I started using a push cart since September. I got the push cart for free from my dad about 5 years ago when he got a fancy remote control push cart. I didn't use the push cart until this September.

I like using the push cart because it can hold drinks and snacks But I don't like the fact that you can't go everywhere...

any of you walk and carry guys feel like your shoulders, right shoulder in particular, are irritated by the putting on and taking off of your bag?

No, I have never felt like my shoulders or back suffered from carrying.  Back in the days of a single strap bag, I switched off between shoulders (right on odd, left on even).  Now that I am getting older (62) I have started to think about a push cart.
