kind of seems like all of this did start at the death of his father. You have to wonder how much his life was controlled by others most importantly his father. I would imagine that Tiger, like many obsessed prodigies, had no life outside of golf early on and did what he thought he was supposed to do i.e. get married, have a family, etc ad nauseam. When his father died he no longer had someone to tell him what he was supposed to be doing and so the repressed Tiger came out.

Whatever the causes or reasons, the guy has fallen from grace and in my opinion is a dirtbag. I get it that he is exposed to "opportunities" that those of us not in his shoes will never have to deal with but that is absolutely no excuse. As stated earlier, it is not like the guy had a couple of one night stands, he apparently had long term relationships with a pregnant wife. I hate it for selfish reasons too as I really loved all that he stood for and what he has done for golf. As for myself, I will be pulling for Mickelson from here on out....gambling and all.

Everyone acts like we knew who tiger was. We did not, we knew him on the golf course and tv ads and his foundation. In his private life we really did not know much of anything about him. The only thing we knew in his private life was really just the relationship between him and his dad thats it. Even that was all about golf. He made a mistake, get over it, nobody is perfect except for one person. Sad thing about all this is how it came out. If the car crash happened at 2:30 p.m. none of this would have come out the way it did.

True, noone is perfect. Who said or believed so?

Pity that the biggest con artist in the history of sports had to be a golfer. Whether he's the biggest d**k-h**d in sports is arguable but he's right up there with the other contenders.

Accenture was a part of Arthur Anderson...I love it...a consulting company with high morals. I see them as lawyers looking at the eaisiest and most legal way to fire people and cut pensions.

Not many on this forum have explored the fact that maybe his wife was a bit nutty (I know that never happens).

Whatever, she will walk with somewhere between 100 mil and 500 mil. That should ease her sorrow.

I feel bad for the kids, hopefully they will put them first and move on as 2 loving parents with some mutual respect for each other,,,it happens all the time.

Maybe? and the 10-13 "hookers" is speculation. innocent until proven guilty. He said he cheated...yes.

But "at the end of the day" who gives a sh-t.

Well considering he has not filed a suit against any of them for besmirching his so callled good name it don't look to good.As far as Phill with his gambling as long as he did it legally it is none of our bussiness.Tiger on the other hand may have broken the law with hush money that was not reported to the IRS which is a crime.

No kidding, once you're willing to get a hooker, you've crossed a line. Rather than a dozen hookers, it was probably "dozens of hookers".

All well said IMO. If the women are all lying, or some of them at least, then he should have come out and said so. As to the hush money, if there's any truth to any of the statements being made about that and hard facts come out (regular money transfers etc) to demonstrate it, things will be going quite a bit further south for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he's spending a fair bit of his time working with lawyers at the moment, regardless of the facts of the case. He needs to be, some claims being made aren't pretty - are we going to see a suit?

Three Putt: how much do you actually know about Accenture's line of business, other than what you just posted?

I know nothing of Accenture, I had no idea they sponsored Tiger...that was a good use of marketing $$$$ !!!!!

Yes, possibly the worst in sports sponsorship history. Nike OTOH probably won't do so badly over it - totally different market segment obviously. Might even get some sympathy purchases, who knows .... It'll probably be a Harvard Business School case study.

Hmmm...morals, ethics, sin, what would you have done if you were in his shoes???....this was a fun one.

I just hope he comes back soon. I'm sure when he does your going to have plenty of the folks that just want to talk about the speck in his eye, while ignoring the telephone pole sticking out of their own. There will be the media vulchers that want to talk about some bimbo and not the fact that he just won a major. He tunned out all the nonsense amazingly well when everyone thought he was some Jesus/Superman hybrid, hopefully he will be able to do the same with all the new nonsense.

My grandfathers generation had Hogan, Sneed, and Nelson. My Dads generation had Jack and Arnie. Tiger is my generations most amazing player, and we need him on the practice tee, not on some boat with a bunch of "yes men" and "image consultants" talking to him about damage control. In reality, as soon as he returns and the dust settles, this whole thing will amount to nothing more that a 2 inch paragraph in his "wiki". The first few tournaments back will be a pain, but then the religious zelots will find someone else to point their finger at and the media will go back to worrying about Britany Spears' latest hair cut.

This will probably never totally go away, but it will be nice to get back to golf.

I just caught the end of the discussion when I turned on the TV. Something about Tiger and the use of HGH? They were interviewing the PGA commisioner. Can anyone add anything to this?
I'm not trying to start a rumor or anything, I just want to know what I really was hearing.
Thanks.

    • Day 133 (25 Apr 24) - Worked with the Divot Board today added a piece of cardboad behind the ball to help reinforce ball first contact. Contact improved through the round.   Added grandson's football goal posts about 10yds out to add a good start line visual Good session today.
    • Day 120: 4/25/24 Full Speed Spectrum training session. Low energy today and my speed was lower than normal. Will see what I can do on Saturday.
    • Day 541, April 25, 2024 Ten minutes after lessons. Still not caught up, but should be by tomorrow evening.
    • Playing irons only may lead to some short-term gains, but you'll want to at least practice with the driver if you ultimately have some decently good goals.
    • He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
