  1. 1. Have your hopes about Tiger beating Jack's record changed?

    • I still hope he eclipses Jack's 18 Majors.
      21
    • I used to hope he'd beat Jack, but now I hope he doesn't.
      5
    • Didn't want him to overtake Jack before and still don't.
      9
    • I'm happy for this record to be about golf, not personality.
      21

I will still repsect his on course accomplishments, and my personal feeling is that he will get to at least 20 by the time he is 40. Then maybe pick up the random one here and there after that, finishing with 23-25 and 100+ total wins.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

After the recent events, I hope Tiger doesnt surpass Jack. I honestly dont think he will do it. Since he hurt his knee, Tiger isnt the same golfer that he used to be. Also, theres a lot of young golfers going pro who will challenge Tiger and no single one of them may have Tiger's number and take away his spot as the #1 golfer in the world, I think between them and the other veteran golfers; I see it as being enough competition to keep Tiger from surpassing Jack.
IMO, Tiger's days of dominating golf, especially in the majors are over.

What he does off the course has no affect on what I think of him as a golfer unless he kills someone or does some really really terrible thing.

Tiger won more majors before Elin than he has since marrying her. Both his missed cuts at majors as a professional are since marrying her. Of course, there are better reasons than Elin for these things happening.

Regardless, I don't think this will affect his ability to surpass Jack's 18.

Voted it to be solely about golf.

Could be fun. No-one knows how he'll be affected. Everyone knows he has the game fundamentals but I'm curious about his mental state in future. He may well be driven but this is pretty huge.

I've never subscribed to the "Tiger is God incarnate" School that so many do. So many think it's a cake walk for him to break Jack's record; we'll see. He may never win another Major; truth is no-one knows.
