Hey everyone!

Found this site by visiting the links section of http://••••••••••••••••••.com/ , and fell in love with the design and atmosphere of the place. So, I thought I would become a member!

I am currently a 6.1 handicap that is looking to jump to the next level. I have been under par only twice [69 (-3), 70 (-2)] but feel that if I had some swing tweaks or tips that I would be able to perform at that level more regularly.

I originally got into golf when I was 13 (11 years ago). I was actually a baseball player at the time, but we used whiffle golf balls as a practice drill. The next thing I know, I am hitting a three iron in the backyard (cross handed...) and I was hooked.

I have been married for a little over two years now. She took up the game when we first got together, but has yet to break 100. I work in IT for public government in Reno, Nevada. My goals in golf, as stated above, it to become a scratch (or better ;) ) golfer.

With that somewhat lengthy introduction, I am off to try to find some new tips as I have our club championship coming up on the 26th and 27th!

Welcome. It's unusual for a 6.1 index to shoot 3 over par, and particularly odd for a 6.1 index to shoot under par... I'm a 3.6, and I've done it once this year (and that was only one under).

Yay for IT guys, doing stuff so i don't have to. (being i'm a software developer). I know alot about IT, i just never liked devoting myself to it.

As for golf, rock on, the more the merrier, I'm a little new here, but the community on this board is one of the best i've seen in a long time.

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
