Well, I've been hitting practice balls outside, but as I hit them, they only get worse.

When I come into impact, I feel like my body is wayy too small. I'll either block push right, or hook. With my driver, I'm perfectly comfortable, but with my irons, I have alot of trouble creating lag, and hitting a ball straight or draw.

Here's an example swing:

It's extremely hard to explain the feeling, but maybe someone can relate, or help me.

What are you practicing off of? Sand? That can't be good.

Are the clubs fitted to you? I felt the exact same way and I just recently gotten my clubs fitted to me and im hitting 100% better and more comfortable at address and my swing.
I am 5'6 so i am pretty short so i needed my clubs taken down an 1 1/2 inches and a -3 degree lie adjustment. before being fitted at address where i felt comfortable. my clubs toe was pointing up so i had to get close to the ball which caused me to have a more upright swing which made me push balls all over the place.

It looks like you have graphite shafts. I will i previously owned a set of Nike sumo SQ irons stiff graphite and couldn't hit them, which i think was due to having a fast swing speed which created to much shaft flex. So that might also be your problem.

I put my right foot back a little when using my irons. It helps me from pulling my shots and helps me turn my hips.
but then again I'm older and not flexible

R9 460 driver r7 fairway woods

if only i could blow up one less time per round ...

Looks like your body is still mostly closed at impact, that will def cause you to feel jammed. I suffer from the same thing some times. You have a really good looking swing though!

What helped me from not feeling so jammed up was to get in my address position, then just back up a few inches. Its amazing what a few inches of room feels like in a golf swing. It really allows you to "move" through the ball.

Oh on a side note, what camera are you using there? Pretty good quality.

I got it for Christmas, it's called the Kodak Zi8. It takes videos in 1080p, or superfast video in 720p.

From what I've researched, it's pretty affordable too, unlike the other crazy priced cameras.

And thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

    • Idk but I would have to imagine that a putter that is aimed where you think it's aimed would be the most important aspect of a putter

    • Nothing exposes low point control, and for that matter the general quality of ball striking like tight lies. Lol! I am at a crossroad. My days of playing with a super strong left hand grip are coming to an end it seems. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to maintain proper face control through impact as the club face naturally wants to turn over. The quality of strike and ball flight difference when I weaken the grip is stark. Problem is a weaker grip is at odds with my poor sore left forearm which I have been nursing for last few days after 3 days of demanding golf. As of now I will continue my 'transition' to a weaker grip with woods and hopefully my forearm will condition as I go along. Maybe someday I'll get to a normal address with irons too.
