There is absolutely no difference in feel or performance from cast to forged wedges. If there were dont you think that Vokeys would be forged?

No I do not.

I completely agree with that! Good post! The Vokeys are made from pretty much the same stuff as any mizuno out there.

They are more or less equal. I mean, some people may say that a hand tossed pizza dough is better, but let me ask you this, if two pizza crusts were made from the same ingredients in the same amounts, would you be able to tell the difference? Probably not. But now imagine two pizza crusts made from different ingredients, one hand tossed and the other machine made. Now would you be able to tell?

Same deal. The ingredients are what matter, not if some greasy chef sweat all over it.

^^^ I lol'd

    • Day 251 (10 Jan 25) - Was hoping the Friday group would play today, but it was a not go (I was a lone ranger).  Of course temps around 30 with some wind chill - so it was not a fair weather day.  Since I was going out solo - decided to play one of my faves - play from a different tee on each hole.  To keep it simple, I started from the tips (blue) and worked progressively through the tees - whites on 2, gold on 3, red on 4, grey on 5, back to blue on 6, etc.  Really changes how you work the approach game as I tend to play from the golds most days.  1st learning moment - fairways were firm and greens like industrial carpet on concrete.  So hunting pins was out - it was a day scrubbing speed with hitting a little short to let the ball scrub and roll out.  2nd learning moment - body is not as flexible so I had plenty of push slices, so the left side stayed pretty much out of play.  3rd learning moment - course played about 2 clubs longer, which was expected which meant more bogies and birdie looks were few and far in between.  Still managed an 86, so it was a good day for a practice round of a different kind.
    • Day 177: did a stack session.
    • I've seen deer, Elk, turkeys, geese, ducks, turtles, gators, iguanas, beavers, a bobcat and several snakes.  I'm sure there's other animals I've forgotten about.
    • I finished -14 I couldn't birdie 4 of the holes.  I hope to do better this year! I finished -14 I couldn't birdie 4 of the holes.  I hope to do better this year! I finished -14 I couldn't birdie 4 of the holes.  I hope to do better this year!
    • That's a pretty impressive improvement rate! Do you play any other sports that might carry over somewhat? Hockey, baseball, tennis - that kind of thing.  As to improvement rates compared with others, Greg Norman took up the game at 16 and was scratch in 2 years and then kept getting better too. Larry Nelson apparently broke 70 9 months after taking up the game. There's a handful of PGA Tour players who got good very fast. Then I played last summer with a 17 year old off +5 (and it's a legit handicap too). He must have got good fairly quickly. But getting to scratch is the (relatively) easy part. Improving from here gets harder and harder. Good start though!
