Damn that's cheap.

Yukari, is that Fossil Trace? It's a fun course, I play there once or twice a year (Jeffco resident too), but I'm not sure I'd want to play it all the time. Jim Hajek, the head pro, is an old friend. He used to be the head pro at Foothills... gave lessons to my Mom many years ago.

My home course is Foothills GC, and it's $39 for a non-resident to walk on Fri-Sat Sun; and it's $14 additional for a cart for 18 holes. There are numerous discounts... junior, senior, weekday, player's card, early and late twilight. I pay $20 with cart on weekend and I'm an employee. The course is a recreation district managed layout (sort of like a muni, but not quite), that was opened in 1972. It's a parkland style course which was built on the cheap, but has been remodeled and matured into a very nice course that is fun to play. There is cheaper golf to be found in the Denver area, but like most things... you get what you pay for.

For the public course I play most often:

Weekend

$18 - 9 Holes Walking
$28 - 9 Holes Riding
$25 - 18 Holes Walking
$40 - 18 Holes Riding

That's pretty much the average for most public courses in this area of Wisconsin. Weekdays are a little cheaper for 9 hole play ($15/$25), and since I play there often, they typically let me play as much as I want for $25 p/day.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
