I am doing what I want to do and the job I have does not require a college education, but I am glad I have one. It's a nice cushion to have and people look at you different when you have one, no matter what job you are doing.

Those people who want to better their lives and therefore better society by going to college should be able to.

So people who donbt go to college arent bettering their lives or society?

I'm not taking any sort of political/social opinion on this or saying that either of you is right; I'm merely correcting a logical fallacy.

Jamo's post relies on that assumption that "going to college enables people to better their lives and better society" -- or, in other words, "if one goes to college, one can better his life and better society." So let C = "one goes to college" and B = "one can better his life and better society," and in terms of propositional logic the sentence becomes "if C, then B." ApocG10 misreads Jamo's post to mean "if one doesn't go college, one cannot better his life and better society" -- in other words, "if C is not the case, then B is not the case." This is the inverse of the original conditional statement; a conditional does not imply its inverse. (For instance, "if I get a hole-in-one, I'll be happy" does not imply "if I don't get a hole-in-one, I won't be happy.")

What's in my bag:

    • So far only -5 but... I've Birdied 2 of the 4 holes I wasn't able to last year.  Hopefully will Birdie all 18 this year, maybe an Eagle or 2!
    • Titleist TSR1 or TSi1.  Both have adjustable hosels. edit:  Forgot to mention the GT1.
    • I've been really absent all things golf since September but have been getting the bug lately.  Today in SE Michigan we have our first thaw of the year.  It is Sunny and 53 degrees and boy do I want to get on a golf course!  Spring is around the corner 🙂
    • I assume you are posting 15 or 16 holes and letting the USGA algorithm insert projected scores for the missing holes. How is that going? Are the projected scores reasonable? I have yet to do this.
    • You're right. I haven't really had an issue with this before, but it's definitely worth closing the legs a bit to see what happens. I've had 2 of these and never had this problem before. About 5 years of use between the 2. It's really odd. Yeah, I've always had a bit of inconsistency and misreads, but this is a new level. I did a baseline session last night, and all my of stack speeds had decreased by roughly 5-10 mph (with me throwing out the obvious garbage readings). Weirdly, the driver speed actually seemed to be right where I expected it. I guess maybe it's having trouble with the smaller head of the stack vs. a driver? Whatever it is, I think it's time for me to go with the stack radar.
