If you want to go new i would get a Cleveland Classics or a Ping Karsten Series ( to $70ish one, not the $250 Redwoods ones)

I had a cheap blade putter that I just replaced a week or so ago with the Nike OZ T130. It has a very consistent roll to it. I think your best bet is going to a store and trying them out. I think consistency is the most valuable aspect of a putter, knowing how hard/soft it is going to be.

I agree as well... try as many as possible... keep a few things in mind though. The three most important things IMHO (besides blade or mallet type) is length, "bend" lie angle, and grip. Lie angle being the one that gets looked over most I think, make sure the nose of your putter is flush with the ground to promote truer strokes and contact with the ball.

The putter I have is a cheap one that came with the boxed set I bought when I started golfing last summer. I was wondering if a good putter will make a big difference in my putting. If so, what would you recommend?

Putter quality makes quite a difference in my opinion....i recommend the scotty cameron newport 2...beautiful putter..quality is second to none

gotta be honest.... I had a nice cameron I thought I liked... went to an odyssey cause putting was not feeling totally comfortable... switched back to the cameron to give it another shot... went back to the odyssey few months ago and will never look back. just sayin... don't believe the hype, believe how you feel.

The Cleveland classic series is pretty nice and is around $60.

Can't beat that for the money. Got more to spend, look at the Rife putters. Many models to choose from so take a look at the Rife website. Great place to order from. For $19 you can get custom loft, lie, and length. I have the Rife Antigua and it is the best putter I have ever used personally. Had Scotty Cameron, Bettinardi, Ody, etc.. but the Rife rolls the rock like no other. The "roll groove" technology is what makes the difference. Read more on that at the Rife website. These are insanely popular putters for good reason. Give one a try before buying a new putter.

      I think part of it is there hasn't been enough conclusive studies specific to golf regarding block studies. Maybe the full swing, you can't study it because it is too complicated and to some degree it will fall into variable or random.

      Going one step stiffer in the golf shaft, of the same make and model will have minor impact on the launch conditions. It can matter, it is a way to dial in some launch conditions if you are a few hundred RPM off or the angle isn't there. Same with moving weights around. A clubhead weights 200-220 grams. You are shifting a fraction of that to move the CG slightly. It can matter, again its more about fine tuning. As for grip size, this is more personal preference. Grip size doesn't have any impact on the swing out of personal preference.  You are going to spend hundreds of dollars for fine tuning. Which if you want, go for it. I am not sure what your level of play is, or what your goals in golf are.  In the end, the golf swing matters more than the equipment. If you want to go to that level of detail, go find a good golf club fitter. ChatGPT is going to surface scan reddit, golfwrx, and other popular websites for the answers. Basically, it is all opinionated gibberish at this point.

      Well the first advice I would give is to look at your swing. If you are swing out to in, it may be difficult to fix your misses with club adjustments. They would only be a bandaid. I use midsize grips because I have long fingers and I feel I have more control with them. I also have tinkered with shaft length and swing weight. But I know when I miss it’s because my swing was off.
