I remember when "trouble clubs" first appeared back in the late 1980s. Raylors, Gintys. Several friends played the early TaylorMade Raylors, and I didn't see too many in the used club bins during the 1990s.

A new version of Raylors arrived recently.
* Is anyone playing them? If so, what do you think?
* What all do you use them for? What do they replace?
* With the boat-hull sole, do you see them as a separate class of club from hybrids?

Focus, connect and follow through!

I don't personally play them, but I've hit them and i play the Nike Dymo 3 wood, which has a similar sole, but maybe not to the same degree. It is great at cutting through the grass, but my advice to anyone is that you must must must get fit for them. If you aren't fit for a club with a sole like that, it is of no use.

Nope.

The head on my F2 is as small as I personally want to go. Great stick from many lies.

I could see where better players would love the Raylor, though.

Not too sure what to do now that I have just replaced my 3i with a 50* wedge. My biggest gap is my 18* hybrid and 4i. At the range I hit the Raylor 22* really well, "100% strait and felt as if I could put the ball anywhere I wanted" but do I replace my 4i with that?????
