Anybone play Nippon shafts. I had some in a set of Cobra 3100 I/H a few years ago and really liked them. Since then I've had several sets of clubs generally with TT DG S300 shafts. I'm considering going back to the Nippons, however they are a little harder to find and get fiited for in my area.

Driver:  the search continues

Hybrid:  Snake Eyes Q4U 19*, 23*
Irons:  Ping G25 5-UW w/CFS X-flex  (on order)

Callaway and Titleist both offer Nippon steel shafts as options for their irons. Haven't seen Nippons offered in after-market catalogs.

I play N.S.PRO 950GH shafts in my AP1s and my TM Rescue and love them. They're not as heavy as the TT DG and the mid/high ball flight is great (for me). My GF made a special order for her irons, she wanted steel shafts and Nippon offers the 750GH in R flex, they're 76~77 grams with a low kick point, they feel like graphite but with less torque.

I have the NS Pro 950GH Reg shafts on my Mizuno MP-60s....Wonderful combination for a mid-high ball flight.

N.S. Pro 950 has an R on the shaft, does this represent a regular flex or is the shaft flex hidden under the grip?

I play the 1150GH and the wedge shafts and love them both.

I kind of suspected this was the case. I had made a special order with Golfsmith and ordered the set I currently play with in a 6-8iron with the n.s. pro 950gh in stiff. It took Golfsmith over 2 weeks to send them to me and they put regular flex on them. Not pleased. I will attempt to play them this weekend to see how I do.

I recently got fitted and the guy fitting me said that the shaft and flex that I was hitting the best was the true temper dynalite gold xp regular flex 1/2 longer. Now with that said how does the n.s. pro 950gh in regular flex compare? Should I take these out for a spin or return them to Golfsmith and get the shaft flex I actually ordered?

      I  had to return to boast  just a  bit. Everyone  knows  i thought  this  is  how the Championship should  be decided. Match play is far  better than stroke  play to determine a  champion and  its  much closer to most sports  playoffs. Lose and you are  out.     Promotion, relegation and match play: PGA Tour unveils radical new structure The PGA Tour has revealed its planned changes to its competitive model, schedule and playoffs, changes that will be more substantial than any in the Tour's half-century-long history. How will the PGA Tour series wrap up its season? The current PGA Tour playoff format consists of three stroke-play events, concluding with the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Starting in 2028, the Tour's playoff system will feature match play, and will rotate through various courses. Further details will be revealed at this year's Tour Championship next month.

      I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..

      Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.

      I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
