15 year old son shoots 2 over for 9 holes

We played 18 holes and he beat me by 7 strokes fair and square. He shot 83 and I shot 90. He hit the ball better than I have ever seen him play and out drove me almost every hole by up to 50 yards. He had three bad holes with double bogies, I was very proud of him and hope he continues his good play. I know that I had a bad round and he had his best round. I can't wait for us to play again to see what happens again.

Playing 18 holes with my son this afternoon. Last time we played he beat me by 8 strokes, not this time. I have practiced my ball striking and ready for him.

I remember last year when I was 15 and playing in a match against our rival I had to hit a 20 yard flop shot to a pin with about 5 feet of green to work with.

I hit the shot of my life to about a foot and sunk it for an even par 36. That was the best feeling I've ever had on a golf course.

I shot 90.

Not to sound like a dick, but you're a 4 handicapper and you shot a 90?

yeah! golf is a humbling game, I started to write my excuses for shooting 90 but I will spare you the details. I shot par on this course before and I simply played my worst and he played his best, and I will admit he beat me fair and square, let the rematch begin.

I will post our scores and other details later. excuse me, I have to clean my clubs and polish my shoes to get ready...........

I look forward to the day when my (now 10-year-old) has enough game to take me on. Course, he has to actually start by counting/remembering all of his strokes.
